Fall On Me
Demen owns a successful magazine. She's business savvy, but makes poor choices in men.
Her latest flame is Adam, a shallow, insecure musician who proves to be another bad
choice. Her ex-boyfriend, Bob, pops back in the scene, and she's both delighted and
weary. Demen questions what she really wants while tending to some friends in need.
Dollar, her close friend, has returned from a road trip where he's been beaten by
three guys, and she worries how it will affect him. Her best friend, Karyn, is in
an abusive relationship, which leaves her feeling helpless in trying to support her.
Patience is hard to come by with Karyn, but necessary. She sees Dollar in a new light
when he defends her from an unwelcome pass with his newfound strength and maturity.
She runs into Bob again, only this time she knows what she wants, and it's not him.

Review of Fall On Me
by book.of.the.moment - book reviewer.
Fall on me contains primarily the same characters that the first novel did, with the introduction of a few new ones. I have to say that the ending made this book worth reading for me. The end was great.
These stories are straight forward and real..while they're fiction, they're very plausible. The story could easily be about you or I and our day to day lives..there is nothing farfetched or extreme about it. If you're looking for an escape; a chance to live someone else's life for a while, I'd suggest these books..they're quick reads (I read each of them in a day's time) and they're uplifting while not being hokey..if that makes sense.

Review of Fall On Me
by Kristy Tallman - Horror Fiction Author and Poet.
Fall On Me - A canvas of artists, living through the twists and turns of the author, Rowan Lore's brush of life - riding the proverbial roller coaster that takes you on a ride through every emotional turn we face in our realistic everyday lives. Lore has painted a masterful portrait of friendships, love, and living. Sometimes the paintings are surreal because you know you have walked this mile; other times, they are so authentic you could be right there with the characters. You can't help but live in their shoes, become a part of their lives and feel their hearts beating within your own. From the opening of the first chapter you will be captivated - pulled into their colorful lives - the main character - Demen - created. Her friends will become yours - her emotions; given by Lore for you to own in the brilliant way she whirls the colorful existence of each character into colors no eye can ignore. This book is not your shallow, sitcom-style, funny class of book about friends - it has substance, reality, and truth. From the experiences of learning through the tragedies of life, to the ability to stand beside a friend whose world is falling down around them as they struggle through an abusive relationship then into the experiences each of us are given the quest to learn; understanding what real love truly is. Love in friendships - Love in relationships - Love in life.
I can't congratulate Lore enough for her work that she presents in Fall On Me - it's beautifully written, its appeal will span the ages, the sexes and the tests of time. These are the qualities, which deem a written piece of work as great literature, a feat Lore has achieved seemingly without much effort. .

Orange

As a successful owner of a magazine that's about to go nationwide and friends surrounding her, you would believe Demen had the world in her hands. As life has it, nothing is as black and white as the pages of a book. Demen is tormented by a past she refuses to face, a pain she doesn't want to share with anyone, even the best of her friends. Struggling with the everyday grind, she pushes away the feelings pretending to move on, but is she or is it holding her back? How far will she get when the deepest hurt a person could carry is never set free to be felt? How true of a friend can she be to the ones who need her if she's not willing to depend on them to help her through her own personal trauma? Her closest friends know she refuses to face the pain of losing her parents, but no one talks about it, not even her. Demen needs to face her past in order to go forward, and she will soon find out she doesn’t have to do it alone.

Orange is the story of a young woman at a crossroad in her life. Orphaned in her teen years she has spent the last 8 years running her own magazine that is about to go national and she has to decide if that is what she really wants.
The great dialogue between the characters, ranging from popular culture and modern music to the same fears and dreams we all face, really made the book for me.It reminded me of the dialogue in The Breakfast Club, only more mature.

Rated Excellent!
People react to life's changes in various ways; some people will do anything to stay in
control of those changes.
Demen couldn't find a magazine that offered her everything she was looking for, so she started her own. After eight years of making it work, hiring people and expanding to a successful level of publishing, Orange is on the verge of going national. Demen has made it to the big leagues. So why does her office door remain closed with a note posted to "Go ask Jack"? Jack has had all the answers for some time now, acting as the boss and running the show. Karyn, Demen's friend and the Fashion consultant for Orange is worrying over Demen's distancing from the business. Dollar, Demen's best guy friend, decides to take off to find himself on a cross-country road trip. A new man enters Demen's life and she finds a new place to hang out and make friends. But why does it feel like she is being consumed by these new distractions? Why does it feel like her whole life is about to change?
Thirteen years ago Demen's parents were killed in an airplane crash. Her efforts at developing Orange were an attempt to take control of her life. Now, when the magazine is growing so rapidly, Demen is faced with the reality that she is about to jump into a race that she might lose. She contemplates walking away from it before it can crumble in her hands. Her best friend has gone and she fears that he may not return. She has pushed her girlfriend nearly out of her life. Demen is struggling to control her life's changes out of her fear of losing those things that are most dear to her. It is a struggle we all deal with in life.
Rowan Lore has written a story that will hit home with many readers. Her characters are vividly true to life and very interesting to get to know. Their nuances will bring a smile to your face or a nod to your head as you recognize the quirks of your own life. The plot is well done with a neatly wrapped up crescendo to bring home the pinnacle of the story. I would watch for more from Rowan Lore...a promising author on the way to the big leagues.

A thought-provoking tale of inner conflict
The debut novel of Rowan Lore, Orange is the intriguing story of Demen, a woman who put all her energy into starting a magazine called "Orange". Eight years later, the magazine is about to achieve national distribution -- yet suddenly Demen is distancing herself from it, and her friends, and seems to prefer losing herself in distractions. A thought-provoking tale of inner conflict and sublimated motives, and which is especially recommended to fans of the romance genre, Orange documents Rowan Lore as an author of considerable originality and a natural born storyteller.
